Our Motto:
"Making Plans - Not Excuses"
I have an old-school philosophy that the family unit, which comes in many shapes and sizes, is the backbone and strength of our country. The family-owned business is the foundation of the great success story of our nation. My desire is to help families protect the present, plan for the future, and persevere through tough times.
We see businesses every week that are missing key components in the business structure, management, longevity planning, and regulatory filings, involved in managing your business. Small business owners can get so busy with the day-to-day operations, that they neglect the business structure that will help protect the business and its owners.
We also see business owners that have spent their lifework building an amazing company, only to have inadequate planning for what happens to it in the future. Making these plans can be simple. Failing to have a plan can be burdensome and devastating for those trying to sort it out unexpectedly.
No Two Families are the Same
We get calls to do a simple will, a power of attorney, a trust, and all kinds of things. What people do not always realize is that not everything works the same (or at all) for everyone. We all have different lives and different needs - AND - our lives and needs CHANGE.
We need different things when we are single, plan to get married, have small children, go through a divorce, start a business, have children or family members with special needs, when we retire, and when we think it is time to plan for death.
A plan that works when we are 30 is probably not a plan that works when we are 50 or 70.
We help create plans for the present and the future. Plans that grow and change as you and your family grow and change.
**UPDATE MARCH 2024: A recent Federal Court decision out of Alabama has found that the Corporate Transparency Act is unconstitutional as to the plaintiff businesses involved in that case. We are monitoring that case for an appeal to a higher Federal Court. At the present time, the Act is still in force as to all other businesses that fall under the CTA, but that could change pending the appellate process. Call us if you have questions on how this affects your company.**
The Corporate Transparency Act requires many business owners to file Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reports prior to January 1, 2025. Our firm has the knowledge and expertise to handle these critical filings for your business. There are many scammers attempting to obtain your private information. Trust our office to keep your information private and comply with the law.
See more information below, or click on the "FINCEN BOI INFORMATION" tab on our website.
